This was the first release on Deserted Village and was released on CDR as DV1 in 2003.
It was reissued by Herbal International as part of the 'Why Not Ltd' series as 00014 in August 2007 with new artwork.

Spattercone 1, Spattercone 2 and Seven Mile Sound were recorded on 26th February, 2002 in the Boydell Toom in Trinity College, Dublin.
Glass Valleys was recorded on 24th April, 2002 during Murmansk’s first live performance at Trinity College Chapel, Dublin.
Fata Morgana was recorded during Summer 2002 at the first session with Seán Mac Erlaine in Gavin and Shane's home in Dublin.

Murmansk Ireland

Murmansk met in 2001 in Dublin at an improv workshop hosted by AMM percussionist Eddie Prevost. Between 2002 and 2006 they performed around Ireland and Europe and released 5 albums all of which are now available here.
